We are looking to recruit an experienced Band 6 clinician, either nursing or social work background, into our centralised triage function which will triage referrals coming into the service.
The Triage Clinicians will sit centrally and report directly to the Service Lead however will be expected to develop strong working relationships with the 5 clinical teams across the service.
There will be significant opportunity to shape and develop Triage and Assessment standards across the service and link in with the clinical teams across the partnership to develop consistency in relation to triage and assessment practices.
The primary role will be to undertake clinical triage of referrals into the service, identifying immediate risks and suitability for assessment within OpCourage North, identifying the appropriate OpCourage North service to meet the needs of the Veteran or signposting and supporting access to the appropriate service if the referral is not deemed suitable for OpCourage North Services.
The Triage Clinicians will be expected to undertake several assessments as part of their main role and provide step up and support to the clinical teams in terms of assessment and duty work if required.
We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future.

There are 5 clinical teams embedded within NHS partner organisations across the North of England, working to one operational model as one service, reporting to a Clinical Lead and Operational Lead who are overseen by a Partnership Board to ensure effective delivery of the service.
Triage clinicians will be required to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the mental health and wellbeing needs of Veterans, Reservists and their families to identify the role of OpCourage North in terms of the service specification and pathway.
The Triage Clinicians will play a key role in relation to the Single Point of Access pathway within OpCourage North so will be required to understand the administrative processes designed to support delivery of the model.
