Job Title:
Wood Machinist

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our team. Your main responsibility will be cutting panels and timber used in the production of high quality Veneered panels.

Duties:

  • Set up, safely operate and maintain Altendorf F45 panel saw.
  • Read and interpret cutting sheets for various jobs.
  • Occasional operation of other woodworking machinery, (thicknesser, drum sander, edgebander, lipping trimmer).
  • Keeping work area tidy.
  • Helping out with general labouring where necessary

Qualifications:

  • Good experience of using a panel saw accurately and safely without supervision essential.
  • Basic mathematics needed to read cutting sheets.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Clean driving licence useful but not essential.
  • Must be reliable and hard working.
