We are a family owned business with over 90 years experience in timber manufacturing. Here at Project Timber, we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of great quality wooden garden products and looking after the staff that work for us.

We are looking to drive further growth and need to increase capacity to be ready for, and deliver for the upcoming seasons. As a result we currently need you to join us to work as part of our Machining team. If you have previous timber machine experience and have experience in leading teams, we would like to hear from you

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain moulder machines, ensuring efficient and precise production of wooden components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to manufacture parts to specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks on machined parts to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to accommodate different types of wood and cutting specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the moulder machine to minimise downtime.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimise manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
- Keep detailed records of machine settings and maintenance activities.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Wood Machinist, with specific expertise in operating moulder machines.
- Strong understanding of wood properties and machining techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices in a woodworking environment.

**Salary**: £13.57-£15.00 per hour
