What you'll be doing

  • Working closely with the Pension Scheme Director, other pension scheme managers, L&G Business Representatives and Secretary to the Trustees to provide executive support to the Mastertrust Trustees.
  • Taking ownership of the executive support for the Governance, Risk and Audit Committee (a subcommittee of the Board) and the Mastertrust board meeting. Supporting the agenda setting, writing and collation of papers, liaising with presenters (internal &external) and trustees, and following up on actions.
  • Collecting and analysing scheme information to support in the preparation and drafting of the Annual Chair's Statement. Supporting the preparation of other regulatory documents, as required.
  • Working closely with the L&G businesses and external parties on the annual Mastertrust Assurance Framework Audit, collating evidence on controls and measures in place, drafting report.
  • Working closely with the L&G businesses and external parties on the annual external audit and the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts.
  • Supporting the Pension Scheme Director with miscellaneous tasks, including arranging signatures for scheme documents, developing content and approving literature/communications, paying MT/IGC related invoices, managing expenses.

What we're looking for

  • Experience and knowledge of DC trustbased pension product solutions and marketplace would be beneficial.
  • Prior experience of pension scheme management would also be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Mastertrusts
  • Demonstrable communications skills, the ability to articulate and convey information in a clear and compelling manner in writing and in person
  • Ability to build good working relationships with professionals across the L&G business
  • Highly organised. Able to deal with multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to manage a diversified range of business expectations
