An excellent opportunity has arisen within a global, field leading client of ours based in Kent who are currently looking for a 2nd Line Server Support Specialist with knowledge of Security Tools.
Overview
A strong and consistent personality is required to take responsibility for all elements maintaining minimum security application and patch levels on ~800 Servers across the EMEA region. Working remotely, with in-country hands where necessary, the role holder will be required to focus on creating and applying process to update systems that have missed existing automated process, either manually or through automation. This will involve frequent communication with specific teams to ensure timely software and/or agents updates without significant interruption to the running business.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, basic Active Directory, and a common-sense approach to other operating systems (for example Linux, IBM), as well as a logical understanding of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and structured data presentation.
With full management support, he/she will be responsible for daily reporting of SecOps status as pertains to Servers and be prepared to understand and take responsibility with a heavy security focus without bureaucracy or emotion.
