• Obtain the best possible rates for the material to stay below the budgetary requirement and procure.
• Oversee the delivery of the material to site in a clear and professional manner by ensuring all items are available when required on site
• Have full commercial awareness of the project, ensure purchases are made within the budgetary targets set out and any potential overspends are quickly coordinated with the commercial team and resolved
• Ensure all supplier invoices are cleared for payment on a timely manner to maintain the highlevel of positive supplier relations expected by the company
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure all paperwork is up to date, so efficiency remains at the expected high level
• Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers and site staff.
• Report to Senior Buyer on a daily basis.
• Ensure a safe working environment abiding by all necessary health and safety requirements and legislation
• Uphold the professional and progressive image of the company at all times
• Monitor supply chain activity, order placement & rates
• Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position

• 2nd Level education with strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills Desirable
• 3rd level Education with strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
• Interest in pursuing construction or business qualification

• 1+ years' experience in a similar role preferably in a construction environment
• Extensive and demonstrable experience of the material orders
• Strong experience and excellent working knowledge of M&E material and components required
• Knowledge of M&E material rates

• Proven record of delivering ontime quality work with mínimal supervision
• Organized and structured approach to your work
• Enthusiastic adopter/user of IT systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Analytical, reporting, and problemsolving skills with good communication abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and cope with a varied portfolio of work, progressing with reduced supervision
• Good reporting skills
