£30,151 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £32,909

The Intensive Families Support Team's deliver early help support to families, utilising partnerships with key local agencies to prevent further escalation of needs and minimising intervention from statutory services.


The Family Intervention Worker role includes responsibilities for managing a caseload of families, delivering direct work, creating supportive professional networks and identifying and reducing safeguarding concerns.


In addition to this, the Intensive Family Support Teams pride themselves on their developing offer of group work and there will be expectations that participants will support this offer.


You will be working within family homes, schools and the local community as well as having use of an office base.


The role does require a confidence and above average ability to operate in house computer systems and ensure frequent and consistent recording of interactions with families and other professionals.


This is fast-paced environment, that is high pressured and requires the individual to be able to move quickly between different priorities for different families.

Paperwork can be considerable at times, and you'll need to be able to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload.


You will find that every day is different, and never boring The role is incredibly varied and Family Intervention Workers will feel that they are making a genuine impact on the lives of local families.

Requirements:

  • Clear transferable skills around working with vulnerable children and/or families
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and child development.
  • Interpersonal skills are key as the role will require you to engage with family members from a diverse backgrounds and age groups.
  • Confident and competent in IT skills to meet the reporting and recording demands of the role
