Accounts Intern


Are you passionate about numbers, finance, and the hospitality industry? Join our team as an Accounts Intern at Sofitel London St James We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to assist our accounting department in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our establishment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of hotel finance and accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.
  • Support the monthend and yearend closing processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Aid in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform data entry, filing, and other administrative duties as required.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Prior internship or relevant work experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
