As part of our Research Strategy we aim to increase the number of high-quality research studies into Mental Health and Dementia within Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) and to do this we need a hard-working individual to join our team as ourAssistant Research Management Facilitator.

This is a hybrid working post that offers home-working and working from the Research & Innovation Office, Maidstone. On occasion some travel may be required attend meetings

We are looking to recruit anAssistant Research Management Facilitatorto assist with all aspects of research administration during the study lifecycle including feasibility, study set-up through to study closure and archiving ensuring that studies are set up and managed in accordance with regulatory, sponsor and Research & Innovation Office (R&I) requirements

This will include supporting the studies throughout their life cycle from HRA approvals process to close down.

This will involve liaising with study teams to carry out feasibility and set up of studies and to ensure upkeep of our research database (EDGE) etc ro help us monitor our performance metricsand help produce reports for example to R & I Team, Trust Groups, CRN, NIHR, CCGs.


As part of the Research Quality Team, the post-holder is also expected to work closely with the Research Quality Manager and Assistant Research Sponsorship Facilitator and wider R&I colleagues to contribute to efficient day to day functioning of the department and ensure all research complies with research management and governance and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.

The post holder will ensure the smooth set up and day to day running of all research studies by assisting the research team with all aspects of research administration.


The role involves the processing of study documentation throughout the duration of a research study, coordinating the feasibility and set-up processes to confirm capability and capacity for all HRA approved studies at KMPT.

The post requires great attention to detail.


The role involves the upkeep of our local databases including our Local Portfolio Management System (EDGE) and you will be required to ensure our data are accurate, recorded in a timely manner and up to date to enable us to monitor our performance metrics and report appropriately to all internal and external stakeholders.


The post holder must be able to work without supervision on occasion, but still be part of a dynamic team, have proven organisation and time management skills and have meticulous attention to detail.

This is a hybrid working post that offers home-working and working from the Research & Innovation Office, Maidstone. On occasion some travel may be required attend meetings
