The Cancer Services team in Ysbyty Gwynedd is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team of cancer multi-disciplinary team co-ordinators as team leader.
This post will be responsible for the provision of an effective Cancer Services department, undertaking the Team Leader role for all Cancer MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) Coordinators and Administrative Assistants within the Department.
The post holder will ensure confidential and sensitive information is kept secure, and that all work is carried out in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures.
He/she will proactively assist in the maintenance of high standards of professional practice throughout the department.The post holder will have line management responsibilities for MDT coordinators, cancer trackers and administrative support staff as directed and may support a specific MDT as directed.
The post holder will support & coach the Cancer MDT Coordinators/Trackers whose role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to Cancer Services within the Health Board.
This includes supporting individual MDT discussion of new and complex diagnoses to ensure optimum treatment plans are agreed, and collecting, recording, analysing, interpreting and reporting of statistical data required to monitor compliance with the Welsh Government annual targets and to inform the national cancer peer review process.
Co-ordinators are also responsible for the accurate and timely recording of the whole patient pathway onto the CaNISC database for the purposes of national audit.
