What's involved with this role:

Interim HR Assistant -Hybrid Working - JG/985/3003

JOB INFO:
An HR Assistant / Employee Relations Manager is needed on a contract basis for approximately 3 months. You will provide expert employee relations advice, guidance and support to the business.

What you'll do:

  • Support on absences, capabilities, grievances and disciplinary cases providing effective advice, support and resolution.
  • Develop effective relationships with stakeholders, promoting the importance of good people management and the proactive management and resolution of all people issues.
  • Work closely across the HR team to ensure a joinedup HR service
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, ACAS guidelines, internal policies and procedures and best practice.
  • Support local consultation processes and requirements, such as accommodation moves, restructures, reviews and TUPE's
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the trade union representatives to ensure collaborative working
  • Support the speedy resolution of conflict management
  • Update and maintain HR policies and procedures with the Employee Relations Manager and Senior Employee Relations Manager
  • Involvement in HR project work, and the delivery of ER related training and development programmes

Who you are:

  • Experience of working in an HR advisory capacity providing case management support to line managers
  • CIPD Qualified
  • Experience of managing ER cases to resolution
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases and make sound judgements in a timely manner;
  • Strong organisational and management skills.
  • Must have good persuasion, negotiation and communication skills to be able to support and guide managers in ER issues and to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and trade union representatives
