Where does this role fit in?
The successful applicant will be employed as an Apprentice Gardener in Newport and will be able to carry out a Level 2 in Horticulture one day a week in Bridgend College.
As part of the Gardening Team, you'll collaborate closely with the Leasehold & Estate Management Team to ensure our landscapes flourish.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Positive and proactive attitude towards learning, with a commitment to personal and professional development.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
- Enjoyment of teamwork and effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
- Basic proficiency in using a range of IT packages.
- Ability to use initiative to solve problems and work efficiently within deadlines while paying attention to detail.

What are the Pay and Benefits?
- £ 22,010.56 per annum based on 37 hour week. Starting 1st July 202
- You will complete both study hours and working hours of 37 hours a week
- Your Level 2, Horticulture studies start September 2024 and ends approximately June 2026. This can be discussed in further detail at interview.
- You will be completing your Apprenticeship from our Loftus Village Garden, Newport and you will spend one day a week at Bridgend college completing your Level 2 in Horticulture
- For this role you will require a Basic DBS, which we pay for
- 26 days holiday entitlement, rising to 30 days with length of service. Plus, Bank holidays
