Specialist Haulage Transport Planner

Position Type:
Permanent, full-time

As a Specialist Haulage Transport Planner you will be responsible for planning of the loading and unloading of cargo and freight shipments whilst maintaining customer relationships, ensuring requirements and service levels are met from customer enquiries through to job completion.

Raise accurate quotes for loading and unloading of cargo and road transport to ensure profitability of the department.

  • Co-ordinate the activities of Cargo Handlers team in respect of loading and unloading cargo.
  • Arrange with customers pick up and collection of equipment / cargo as required to complete the job.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within shipping lines, port operations, haulage and /or container handling operations.
  • Pentalver's (part of Freightliner Group) strategically located off-dock facilities at Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway, along with our inland hub at Cannock, offer diverse container services such as road haulage, container storage, container maintenance repairs, refrigeration services and cargo handling. In addition to our terminal services, we sell new and used shipping and refrigerated containers, including bespoke modifications.
