Senior Automation Engineer – Robotics and Automation Development

Are you ready to embrace new and varied opportunities to develop and learn? Join us as a Senior Automation Engineer in our Biopharmaceuticals R&D team. This role supports the R&D organization with a focus on the design, construction, and data management of robotics and high-throughput systems that drive efficiency, inform decisions and enable discovery. This is a laboratory-based role for automation engineers looking to expand and deepen their existing technical skills and using those skills to build and expand the team's capabilities.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will consistently build innovative solutions that enable the integration of high-throughput and traditional bench-scale or manufacturing systems. You will lead scientific team efforts to establish world-class automation capabilities, establish working relationships and credibility outside the company, independently create, modify and troubleshoot complex laboratory robotic/automation scripts, anticipate and resolve priority conflicts, and train or mentor engineers or scientists.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Demonstrated independent proficiency in script/method writing for Hamilton Robotics – Venus or Tecan EVO – Evoware (Venus experience is preferred)

AND/OR

Demonstrated independent proficiency in script/method writing for Sartorius Ambr250 HT and integrated process analytic technologies.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Experience training and mentoring (others users and/or other automation experts)

Integration Experience (preferable BioSero Green Button Go)

Experience working with vendors

Data Automation (ETL, SQL, No SQL, Graph, etc.) and Coding (Python, C++, C#, .net, API, etc.)

Commonly Automated equipment familiarity (plate readers, plate washers, sealers, desealer, decappers, labelers)
