BDM - South (Silver) Business Development

Swindon - South West, City of Bristol - South West, Bath and North East Somerset - South West

The Role

  • Proactively seek new clients, introducers and revenue for the company and effectively convert lead opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all clients, prospective clients, internal and external customers.
  • Maximise business opportunities by using best practice.
The Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain new and existing relationships with introductory sources for example finance brokers, insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, clients etc.
  • Achieve own targets of new deals, points and minimum fees, for example, by:
  • Building and maintaining a level of new enquiries and identify and secure opportunities for new business and contacts.
  • Conduct sales meetings with prospective clients when required; complete loan templates for sanction of the facility; follow all operation and due diligence procedures; chase outstanding enquiries and paperwork on deals; attend sales team meetings.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the assetbased finance industry products and services, clients, competitors, introducers, risks, client industry and markets.
  • Support and liaise with all other staff.
  • Promote and represent the brand and services professionally; demonstrate you are an ambassador.
  • Consistently provide accurate information to the Finance function to assist in the production and completion of weekly and monthly sales analysis and reports.
  • Any other duties or projects commensurate with the level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
The Key Skills

  • Establish and maintain a professional + expert relationship with introducers, prospective clients, internal and external customers. Understand and show interest in clients business and actively demonstrates being pivotal
in the relationship between Operations and Sales.

  • Good listening skills, understand how and when to action information, and how and when to delegate to the appropriate person.
  • See things from prospective clients, introducers, internal and external customers point of view; identify their needs and have a proactive approach to building and maintaining relationships.
The Requirements

  • Experience proven experience of leadership in salesrelated environment. Track record of successful delivery in a highpressure role.
  • Skills People management skills are critical. Great planner and organiser. Customer service skills and ability to work alone whilst being a team player. Highly numerate and literate. IT
  • Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • Qualifications Educated to at least A Level standard and pass Intelligence test.
