Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK.

Delivering to a variety of different customers in boththe private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.


As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK are leading the search for a Supply Chain Planner to join the team.

In this role, you will be supporting the supply chain team and assisting with the end-to-end supply chain processes.

You will be responsible for stock forecasting and demand planning driving both accuracy and efficiency.

You must have a strong understand of supply chain policies and great communications skills in order to manage external supplies.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working within external suppliers to maintain product availability and high levels of inbound service.
  • Understanding the needs of the sales teams and customers in order to ensure high levels of product availability and customer service.
  • Utilising the stock forecasting, demand planning and ordering system to its full potential.
  • Working alongside the operational and inventory teams to balance stock needs and helping to solve any operational spacing constraints.
  • Understanding and balancing product availability with stock holding and inventory costs.
  • Managing stock holding to minimise slow and obsolete stock levels and their impact on working capital.
  • Maintaining and actioning KPIs to manage the inbound supplier service levels.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience working in a supply chain role.
  • A good understanding of stock forecasting, demand planning and supply planning.
  • Experience working with external suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
