JOB TITLE: Head of Commercial at AC Whyte Construction

This role presents a rare chance for an experienced professional with at least 2 years as a Head of Commercial to contribute significantly to the growth and success of AC Whyte Construction.

Salary:
Up to £95,000 (DOE) plus a car allowance of £6,500. Flexible working options, 32 holidays (with buy & sell options), and a top-tier pension plan.

As the Head of Commercial, your main responsibilities will include overseeing quantity surveying operations and ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage quantity surveying aspects of projects to ensure timely completion within budget and high standards.
• Implement effective cost management practices and adjust budgets as needed.

• Handle commercial aspects like procurement, subcontractors, valuations, and final accounts.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate open communication and collaborative project delivery.

• Lead and inspire the quantity surveying team, offering guidance and fostering professional growth.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the quantity surveying function for enhanced efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements, managing risks effectively throughout projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector with a successful project delivery history.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing quantity surveying teams and promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.

• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in cost management, budgeting, and contractual obligations.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

• Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field is preferred.
