We are currently recruiting for a Café General Assistant to join our team on a part-time contract. As our Café General Assistant, you will assist the Café Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day operations in the café.

You will be responsible for food preparation, serving on the counter, processing payments, and ensuring that the café is clean and well-presented.

We are looking for individuals with exemplary customer service skills with great knowledge of hospitality and catering.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
Serve behind café counter and take payments on the till.
Supervise the day to day running of the Bartley's café.
Assist the Café Supervisor with food prep each day for the breakfast, lunch, and the all-day offering.
Covering for the Café Supervisor during annual leave or sickness, including management of the team.
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Ordering all stock for the café and on-site vending machines.
Monthly stock checks.
Receiving and monitoring deliveries.
Identify strategies to attract and retain customers.
Ensure that all areas of the café are clean, tidy, and presentable.

What you'll need to do the role:
Proven experience of working in the hospitality industry.
Good knowledge of all health and safety regulations, including food safety.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong team player.
Self-motivated and ability to manage time and priorities well.
Effective communication skills.
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
