Their goal is to provide young people with autism the opportunity to reach their full potential in life.

Position Overview:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with challenging behavior resulting from additional needs. You will be based in the room designed for pupils with challenging behavior and complex needs, providing assistance and guidance to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies for students with autism who demonstrate challenging behavior.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within special education settings.
  • Understanding and empathy for pupils with autism and other additional learning and behavioral difficulties.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Daily Rate of Pay: £ £90 per day

Start Date: June 2024
