About the job:

Are you an experienced Deskside IT Engineer looking for a new opportunity? Well, look no further Our client, based in Winfrith, Dorset, specializes in providing comprehensive IT support. They are currently seeking a skilled Deskside IT Engineer to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Replace desktops, laptops, monitors, and phones as needed to ensure quick issue resolution
  • Perform Break fix on all desktop equipment
  • Carry out IMAC activities
  • Conduct daily backup checks
  • Handle all assigned calls and maintain regular communication with Workflow Managers
  • Accurately diagnose problems using available resources and technical knowledge
  • Provide timely and quality solutions to customers, with updates and escalations when necessary
  • Adhere to relevant procedures and ensure up-to-date administration
  • Complete any additional tasks requested by the company
  • Review Daisy Security Policies periodically to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements
  • Perform 'ad hoc' tickets, non-ticketed, and project work as needed
  • Follow health and safety company policies and legislation

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of IT engineering experience
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of networks and Windows Operating systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair desktops and laptops
  • Desktop and laptop accreditation (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Customer liaison skills
  • Experience with Microsoft applications
  • Experience with VPN and remote work on machines
  • Basic hardware knowledge (e.g., Laptop Keyboards, Memory, Hard drives)
  • Good troubleshooting skills

Note:

Due to the nature of the site, SC Clearance will be required for this role. Therefore, current SC Clearance would be highly advantageous.
