An exciting opportunity has arisenin theClinical Information and Data Quality team.


We are looking to appoint a skilled, motivated and confident individual tocontribute towards the day-to-day delivery ofhigh-qualitybusiness and clinical information making sure that it is relevant, timely, accurate.

This will include, identifying any data quality issues, whether clinical or administrative and to support the resolution of these issues.


You will be an organised and motivated individual with excellent attention to detail who is able to prioritise workload and multitask in order to meet tight deadlines.


The role will assist with the day-to-day delivery of high quality clinical information making sure that it is relevant, timely, accurate, appropriate and complete.


Reporting to the Data Quality Assurance Lead, the post holder will support the Trust with maintaining effective and efficient processes for recording and reporting on the Trusts data.

This will include assisting with the development, reviewing and updating of current processes and reports.


The post holder will need to work under mínimal supervision using their initiative and skills gained through experience in order to ensure effective and efficient use of time to manage their own workload.

To contribute to the delivery of information that supports the organisation in achieving excellent levels of performance, from activity to outcomes monitoring

To assist with routine and ad hoc Data Quality reports for the monitoring of national and local requirements/ targets.

The post holder may be required to travel across all sites for the purpose of meetings and training.

  • To assist with the improvement of the quality and reliability of information stored on electronic clinical information systems as a key resource in the management and improvement of patient care
  • To ensure that your regular reporting workload is completed as per the agreed requirements of the Clinical Information and Data Quality Team
  • To provide cover and support to colleagues as and when required under the direction of the Head of Clinical Information and DQ and the Information and Data Quality Lead
  • To assist with the preparation and compliance of data for national submissions, statutory returns, data flows, audits and surveys. Validating and assessing the quality of data submitted via national returns to all external parties, ensuring that all anomalies or discrepancies are reported as per Trust process. To ensure data is accurate and complete by following validation checks before data is used for analysis internally or sent outside the organisation
  • Using the Trust's data warehouse and other technologies to review and monitor data for Data Quality purposes. To ensure they are completed by given deadlines, ensuring that principles of Information Governance are maintained
  • With assistance to complete ad hoc requests relevant to the band (3) under the instruction of the Data quality Assurance Lead
  • To ensure the timely and accurate production of Data Quality reports for external and internal requirements, ensuring that principles of Information Governance are maintained
  • To attend data quality meetings and participate as required, support at meetings when required, including arranging meetings, taking minutes and distributing papers where required. This could include taking minutes and action notes and distributing papers where required. These meetings could be face to face on either site or via MS teams
  • Keep up to date with current technology and reporting techniques. Assisting with the receipt, distribution and monitoring of Information Standards Notifications, ensuring that all relevant staff are kept abreast of new and amended standards
