We are searching for a driven individual to lead the development of customer accounts. This position demands a unique combination of technical expertise and customer interaction skills to boost new business generation and service revenue from existing clients. Ensuring high customer satisfaction is a top priority for the company. We provide all the necessary resources for your success. Proficiency in supporting B2B sales, pipeline growth, and lead generation with cannabis industry knowledge is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales opportunities by identifying potential accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and escalating opportunities to the territory manager.
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales to implement lead-generation strategies, including market targeting, cold-calling, and localized outreach.
  • Assist Sales Team with new business development, appointment setting, and task assignment in CRM.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email, verify lead/account details, and enter information.
  • Update order information, communicate with customers, and provide order fulfillment details.
  • Enhance customer accounts by analyzing buying patterns, suggesting new items, and explaining technical features.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create Account/Contact Tags for targeted campaigns.
  • Stay updated on product descriptions and engage in educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge.

Account Development

  • Proactively communicate with customers post-sale to maximize their utilization experience.
  • Handle inbound customer communications and support triage.
  • Manage customer onboarding, facilitate account check-ins, and schedule training sessions.
  • Provide basic technical support, address customer issues, and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Advocate for customers, represent the company effectively in challenging situations, and identify sales & technical trends.

Skill & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a background in technical sales.

  • Experience in account development, inside sales, or customer support is necessary.
  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and/or chemistry is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy is essential, knowledge of SalesForce, LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator is highly desirable.
  • A BA/BS technical degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated, articulate, with excellent communication skills.
