Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist an elderly lady with a physical disability living in the Wishaw area.


You will be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community, including attending to all personal care and participation in social activities.

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

  • Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements)
  • Assisting with medication
  • Preparing meals and healthy snacks
  • Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities.
  • Moving and assisting pushing manual wheelchair
  • General housework
  • Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.


A driver is essential, and you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid.


You must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

You must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.

Experience is required but not essential as training will be provided.


The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature, good sense of humour and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for 1 position

Guaranteed permanent position of 10 hours per week.

Days and times:

Hours would typically be Monday to Friday with the occasional weekends and evenings.

Hours to be discussed at interview.

Hourly rate:

£12 per hour
