Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Devise and execute a comprehensive marketing and business growth strategy targeting current and prospective clientele.
  • Conduct in-depth research to comprehend the requirements and frameworks of potential clients.
  • Plan and oversee projects, ensuring their successful completion within designated timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Maintain a professional image of the company and efficiently manage related operations.
  • Develop persuasive proposals and pitches, offering strategic advice to partners for bids and proposals.
  • Spot and capitalize on opportunities to secure projects for the company.
  • Oversee the development of sector-specific content, campaigns, events, and other promotional initiatives.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing events, monitoring their reception and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to update website content and social media platforms.

Essential Skills & Qualifications for the Business Development Manager Role:

  • Prior experience in legal, financial advisory, management consulting, real estate/construction, or other regulated sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting targets and formulating impactful strategies in a consultative sales environment.
  • Background in liaising with senior management to grasp objectives and reach mutual agreements.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital tools for targeted and broad audience engagement.
  • Strong aptitude for fostering relationships both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
