Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them thrive in an inclusive educational environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced EYFS Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young children with autism.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to children with autism within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where SEN children can develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
  • Monitor and track the progress of individual children, maintaining accurate records and regularly reporting to the class teacher and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with the EYFS team, including teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists, to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's progress, challenges, and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child DBS on Update Service or willing to apply.
  • Experience working with children with autism in an educational or therapeutic setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and its implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with autism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of SEN children.
