Onboarding Coordinator

Working as part of a busy team in the School of Health & Society at The University of Salford this role is to support the department staff and students in the important role of Onboarding Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional team within an education setting in an office based, full-time position.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide a frontline professional service to visitors to the School Office and outstanding customer experience to students and staff in all aspects of student onboarding.
- Coordinate school induction activities in conjunction with Programme Leaders, and central services including Student Experience and Support.
- Liaise with Student Administration and Professional Service colleagues in the School in relation to all aspects of the student journey.
- Support Programme Leaders in the implementation of local provision for students with special needs requirements (SSP)
- Work with Programme Leaders to ensure implementation of University policies relating to the delivery of academic programmes e.g., participation and attendance.
- Manage the setup of onboarding detail in the student information system as required.
- Contribute to the setup of onboarding information and guidance in the VLE as required.
- Oversee the process for the receipt of placement uniform and onboarding documents.
- Work with relevant colleagues to manage and support the administration of placement activity as appropriate to the programme(s).
- Work with colleagues in the support of studentfacing procedures.
- Advise staff and students on quality standards and compliance with regulations and procedures, e.g. occupational health and vaccinations.
- Provide management information reports on request for the Onboarding Manager and/or Programme Leaders as required.
- Work in partnership with other Programme Administrators, Student Administration and Placement Team to ensure smooth and efficient administration of programmes.
- Undertake regular quality assurance reviews of all relevant student information in conjunction with the Student Administration team.
- Foster and support a dynamic team approach within the School Office, working effectively as a team member with other staff in the School office, including providing support when colleagues are absent and working to shared objectives to always enhance the Student Experience.
- Perform any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be required by the Onboarding Manager Studen
Skills and experienceStrong attention to detail and a professional mannerProficient with technology with a high level of I.T. literacy.
