About the Role:


As a Band 5 RMN, you will be a key member of our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.

You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for your patients.

Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, facilitating therapeutic interventions, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.

This is a temporary position starting on 24/02/2024 and ending on 24/02/2024. The shift timings are from 07:30:00 to 20:00:00. You will be expected to work a full shift for which you will be paid £325 per shift. The payment will be made under an umbrella payment type.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personcentered care and support to individuals with mental health conditions
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health and develop appropriate care plans
  • Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for patients
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions, including group therapy and individual counseling sessions
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing information
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of patient care and interventions

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC registration
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to patient care
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
