Client Services Manager - Journals
My client is a leading membership association for publishing and events.


To date, they have an urgent requirement for a Client Services consultant to assist the publishing and events team in the requests for summaries ( content pieces of Published reports to clients).


Term - 1-year fixed-term contract

Salary £25- 27k

Hybrid Role - 3 days from the office ( Bristol) 2 days from home

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent client service to end clients
  • Provide continuous improvement of the client (briefings) submission process
  • Provide dedicated contact and corporate knowledge for clients from peer review through to publication
  • Ensure publication of briefings and proceedings to agree on quality standards and timelines
  • Collaboration across internal teams to ensure quality standards and timeline management
  • Delivery of internal strategy against each client according to agreed objectives, and in line with the divisional business plan, in liaison with internal colleagues
  • Responsibility for the management software system and ensuring it is fit for purpose
  • Innovative approach to the development of processes, actively contributing to collaborative internal working reviews
  • Provide Feedback for continuous improvement
  • Knowledge sharing of the Journal/proceedings process with colleagues
  • Dedicated point of contact for all clients on the journal/summaries process
  • Dedicated point of contact for journal authors providing support and guidance when required
  • Support and assistance to journal markers throughout the marking process
  • Deliver excellent client service, ensuring high levels of engagement and customer satisfaction, so maximising client retention
  • Overall responsibility for the creation, implementation and execution of the journal management service to all clients.
  • Setting up the publishing reports software
  • Managing online submissions
  • Managing peer review of the journals/summaries
- communicating decisions to authors

  • Working closely with our suppliers to ensure the supply of all required files for publishing of the journals/proceedings within the predetermined timelines across all clients
  • Management and production of eposters
  • Assisting with journal marketing if required
  • Responsible for updating the website and managing the provision of conference marketing materials for journal submission
  • General administration to include attendance at committee meetings
  • Onsite journal management at larger conferences
  • Contribution to budget setting and budget management
  • Monitoring expenses
  • Invoice processing
  • Demonstrate a good level of communication with team members and other departments.
  • Support the culture of continuous improvement within the team

Skills

  • Excellent administration, organisation and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A good level of numeracy and literacy
  • Some knowledge of website design and database management is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, in terms of dealing with clients, staff and suppliers
  • Highly organized and confident with a real passion for delivering impeccable service
  • Ability to represent the company/client with calm, professional and efficient behaviour onsite
  • Demonstrates a 'can do positive attitude, and is willing to go the extra mile to help themselves and others deliver in their role
  • Representing the team at the Annual (International ) Event to showcase the service offering
