THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Head of Customer Payments Product leader for ASOS Payments. ASOS Payments has an EMR license in the UK regulated by the FCA.

We need to launch a customer-facing EMI product such as e-wallet to retain our license, but more importantly, to create new and better ways our customers to shop and pay.

It is the first time we are launching products that are consumer facing and need to ensure we follow all regulatory requirements of our license in doing so.

This leader will build the customer-facing product strategy and create a roadmap to deliver value with payment services delivered by ASOS Payments.

This is one part of several payments areas, and will need to work with other efforts to deliver an overall great payments experience for ASOS customers.

We will use the UK as reference as we launch in Europe, US and other geographies. The Head of Customer Payments Product will be a key member of the ASOS Payments leadership team.

ASOS is an online retailer for fashion-loving 20-somethings.

Through market-leading web and app experiences and a selection of more than 850 brands, as well as own-brand clothing and accessories, ASOS serves 24.5 million customers in 200 markets and in ten languages.

ASOS Payments is a new business within the ASOS Group, which works collaboratively with ASOS to provide payment services.

ASOS Payments consists of two payment specific entities, one in the Netherlands and one in the UK which will be regulated in each country for the provision of payment services.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the endtoend customer payments experience for customers from defining the customer need, creating propositions, defining products and features and working with delivery teams to launch and support new payment services
  • Integrate customerfacing payment products to overall Payments proposition at ASOS to continue to build this form and function including eventually designing the nextgeneration payments experience for our customers
  • Work with existing Product and Engineering teams to execute and deliver on plans
  • Develop business cases working with Finance for new products including investment, cost and revenue forecast and scenarios and plans.
  • Define new partnerships, vendors required for Commercial team to source; jointly deliver on goals dependent on external parties
  • Hire and lead Product Owners, Business Analysts as the team expands
  • Collaborate with and build strong relationships with all stakeholder groups including Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, Legal and Operations

Qualifications:

We'd love to meet, someone with

  • Significant experience working in a senior Product Management role or a similar position, preferably at a regulated FinTech or Financial Services firm
  • Previous experience working in an EMI, regulated, ecommerce, marketplace or retail
  • Experience in a fastscaling, highvelocity, and dynamic environment, ideally with a track record of successfully building teams and processes from scratch
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to bring stakeholders on the journey and help share the Payments strategy both internally and externally to gain support
  • Ability to analyse information quickly and provide pragmatic solutions, actions and next steps
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work in a fastpaced environment
