Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Assistant to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis.

Duties:

  • Provide a fast and efficient laundry service
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironers
  • When handling items to be laundered, take care and read labels thoroughly before washing
  • Separate articles according to colour, fabric and the cleaning treatment required, watching for damage and stains
  • To pick up and delivery laundry from properties, ensuring each property is labelled and kept separate.
  • To ensure that the folding, counting, stacking and packaging of articles are carried out correctly and appropriately
  • To maintain the laundry room is tidy and clean at all times
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, particularly in regard to health and safety

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of laundry operations and equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£9.50-£11.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
