Join Our Team as a Learning Care Support Assistant in South West London

Are you passionate about supporting learners with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? If so, we have a great opportunity for you

  • Days: Monday to Friday or part-time options available
  • Hours: Flexible based on your availability
  • Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate based on your experience
  • TERM TIME ONLY

Main duties include:

  • To work closely with students in the classroom to support the lecturer
  • To provide support to students either individually or in small groups
  • Encouraging students to strive for independence in their learning
  • Assisting students with personal care, feeding, and medication administration
  • Ensuring student safety during travel and educational outings
  • Conducting termly reviews and maintaining accurate records of student progress

Criteria:

  • Good educational background with GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or equivalent
  • Prior experience in supporting young individuals
  • Experience working with individuals having learning difficulties, disabilities, or challenging behavior
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties
  • Training in manual handling or willingness to undergo training
  • Training in medication administration or willingness to undergo training
