This position is crucial as it represents one of the initial points of contact between our clients and potential leads with the Contentful brand. We are looking for an individual who is highly organized and driven to explore and comprehend the market landscape and how Contentful can facilitate organizations in achieving digital transformation and exceptional customer experiences. As an Enterprise Business Development Representative, you will have the chance to engage with customers from various sectors and levels. Your role will involve collaborating closely with Regional Sales Executives and support teams to attract new business.

As part of this exciting role, you will participate in our specialized Contentful training program. This training initiative is designed to nurture skilled professionals within our organization through a multi-step learning and skills enhancement program that features hands-on training. The program comprises multiple tiers that offer increasing responsibility and income potential.

Kindly note that this is an on-site position located in Central London.

What will you be doing?

  • Acquire in-depth understanding of customers, industries, and Contentful's solutions
  • Effectively execute campaigns and reach out to new prospects
  • Engage in lead generation activities, including strategic research on LinkedIn and other prospecting tools, as well as outbound prospecting, calling, emailing, and social outreach
  • Schedule a minimum of 1 sales appointment daily and log all activities in CRM
  • Provide weekly activity reports to sales leadership
  • Collaborate with designated Account Executives, transitioning qualified prospects
  • Educate AEs on full qualification meeting details (SLAs)
  • Meet or exceed opportunity and pipeline targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Establish relationships with decision-makers and key executives across various industries and segments

What attributes will drive your success?

  • Completion of College/University Degree
  • Preferably 1-2 years of work experience, with previous SDR experience being advantageous
  • Mandatory fluency in English and German
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp customer needs, objectives, and challenges
  • Proactive in qualifying customer requirements
  • Capacity to comprehend the business opportunity and effectively communicate it to the AE team by understanding the prospect's use case and needs, aligning with Contentful's solutions
  • Skilled in building rapport with prospects, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Self-starter with proactive approach to driving conversations forward
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
  • Ability to adhere to established processes, diligently update relevant systems, and suggest improvements when necessary
  • Detail-oriented and inclined towards data-driven decision-making
  • Proficient in standard software like Salesforce, etc.
  • Interest in technology and eagerness to learn about Contentful's offerings
  • Customer-centric mindset focusing on mutual success by aiding customers in achieving their goals
