Freight Management Planner

Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Sales calls / Client follow up
- Increase UK client portfolio
- Quotations
- Negotiating rates with suppliers and subconractors
- Complete order entry process through to completion
- Planning, organising and coordinating activities via network / subcontractors
- Updating customers on delays and issues
- Using inhouse transport management system to monitor and update the progress of each order
Hours of work consists of:
Monday to Friday 8:00 to 17:00
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with carriers
- Knowledge of sales processes within the freight industry
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fastpaced environment
