Dove & Hawk have partnered with a Property Portfolio based in Prime Central London who are looking for a Head of Estate Management to carry out proactive, personal, and commercial management.

This is a client side role that will include oversight of 7 Direct Reports (Building Managers/Estate Managers). It essential that the person who takes on this role has excellent people management and communication skills.

The portfolio itself consists of a mixture of Residential, Commercial (Office & Retail) in some of Prime Central London's most recognised Streets as well as a Rural Farm and Estate in the Essex Countryside.

This role would suit someone with at least 5+ years experience in a Multi-site, Estate Management role with a proven track record of managing teams.


Duties/Functions of the role:

Oversee and advise on Health and safety related work and activities.

Line manage Operations Team consisting of General Managers, Farm Manager and Property operations coordinator.


Oversee training and respective development plans to ensure staff achieve their potential and that all the necessary skills are included.

Perform regular inspections of all assets.


Ensure all record systems, including property and health and safety compliance records are up to date and in line with legal requirements.

Respond to planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, and capital expenditure.

Enhance revenue opportunities where appropriate.

Establish annual budgets, monitor and report performance.

Oversee insurance renewals, claims, and organise regular insurance tenders

Ensure electricity, water, and insurance recharges to respective tenants. Tender utility contracts on a frequent basis to ensure best value.

Manage wayleaves and easements plus monitor any public rights of way.


Maintain working relationship with any Landlord, Local authority, Parish Council and any Local Planning Authorities to promote opportunities for the Portfolio and local communities.

Oversee the capital projects, managing directly and through external advisors where appropriate.

Production of the London & Estate property and land valuation.

Coordinate contractors and consultants for portfolio to safeguard a high standard of work and secure best value for money

Requirements of the Role:

A minimum of 5+ years experience working in estate management.

A want to move 'Client Side' and work with a varied portfolio.

Excellent Leadership and management of individuals and teams.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Experience of project management of residential and commercial assets.

Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.

The ability to carry out Valuations of residential and commercial assets.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and guidance, building regulations and technical standards.

NEBOSH Qualification is essential to the role.

MRICS Qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary Budgets:
£70-75,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.

Required working Hours/Days:
Monday to Friday 9am-6pm (No weekend work required). Due to the nature of this role Hybrid working is offered.
