As the Senior Information Governance Officer in our Corporate Support department you will:

  • Work with staff and managers to carry out data protection impact assessments, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and mitigated.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to staff and managers relating to data protection and freedom of information.

What makes you our ideal Senior Information Governance Officer?

  • You will be educated to degree level or equivalent or possess a specialist qualification in Information Management (Data Protection or Freedom of Information)
  • You will have a good working knowledge of Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation and experience of providing appropriate responses to requests
  • Be a well organised and methodical thinker, with good time management skills and the ability and skills to work effectively under pressure

  • You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
  • The role has an occasional travel requirement to attend another location for training and/or meetings on an infrequent basis.
