Requirements
Outline of Key responsibilities in the Senior Youth Worker role....
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Youth Workers in delivering high-quality youth work programs and activities
- Work alongside young people to support and promote their voice, including involvement in decisions and strategies that impact their lives and communities
- Build positive and trusted relationships with young people, their families, and partner organizations
- Create safe and supportive environments where young people can access support, develop skills, and achieve their goals
- Deliver interventions and activities that address the specific needs of young people, providing information, advice, and guidance on key issues they face
- Monitor and evaluate youth programs to ensure effectiveness and impact
- Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders, partner organisations, and services to raise awareness of youth issues and identify solutions.
- Effectively lead a small team.
We are looking for someone who has...
- Full UK driving license and access to a car.
- Prior experience working as a Youth Worker or in a similar capacity, with a focus on supporting young people aged 8 to 24 years old
- Relevant qualifications
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people and stakeholders
- A commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people and the communities they belong to=
- Understanding of the challenges and issues faced by young people and knowledge of available support services

Benefits
In return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Senior Youth Worker....
- Starting salary of £29,582
- Annual pay scale increase
- 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays (Full time equivalent)
- You will be based out on site at our Blackburn Hub BB1.
- 37 hours, will include working 3 evening per week- up to 10pm.
