London, Greater London, United Kingdom Mollie Full time
We feel like banking has been set up against us for too long. From overdraft fees to payment processing, banking products are confusing, stressful and frankly — boring. We're building a new generation of financial products designed to work entirely for our customers.

Mollie initially launched in the UK in early 2021, licenced via the Temporary Permissions Regime for EU-based financial services firms operating in the UK.

Mollie was granted a Payment Institution licence from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority in June 2023, solidifying its commitment to serving SMEs based in the UK.

This individual will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision, driving commercial success, and motivating the London based team.

The Director will utilise their analytical skills to assess performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to propel the company forward.

Closely monitor data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and optimise performance.

Drive commercial success:

Collaboration with team leads and cross-functional domain leadership team will also be essential in aligning efforts and maximising commercial outcomes.

Ensuring compliance with all Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements is paramount. Uphold credibility in regulatory matters, maintain trust and integrity.

They will be part of the Mollie UK Board and serve as the representative of Mollie UK to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Building a strong sales and partnerships team to achieve growth objectives. Enhancing brand awareness. Leverage targeted marketing initiatives, partnerships, and other promotional activities to increase brand visibility. Striving for a targeted payback period on brand investments will be a measure of success.
Existing FCA PSD individual status is preferred, a deep-understanding of FCA regulatory landscape is essential and experience engaging with the regulator is a strong plus
~7+ years experience (out of which 2 years of people management (managing managers)) building and leading high-performing cross-functional teams
~ Extensive experience in owning P&L responsibilities, driving commercial success at scale, and delivering against aggressive growth targets.
