Virgin Media O2 has an exciting brand new opportunity for a Digital Content Product Owner.

You'll be joining the growing Content Operations and Trading team within the sales eCommerce structure. Playing a key role in the continuous onsite enhancements for our sales journey.

You will run your own squad that will deliver continuous optimisations to the content across the upper funnel on the new customer journey with the support of a scrum master.

You'll assist the senior product and content manager on their journey to deliver a roadmap full of new initiatives to create new exciting capability on the Challenger platform.

But in addition, provide critical product assistance to the wider business and sales team in keeping the business lights on for all the trading operation requirements and issues; finding ways to maintain and improve our propositions onsite, but offering key customer experience advice.

You'll be expected to have a good level of data understanding.

Looking at the data to find opportunities to add to our value creation roadmap, but also where our commercial and marketing trading experiences could also be improved.

You'll need bright ideas, high energy and a commitment to improving our digital customer experience for good. You'll need to hit the ground running, be proactive and strong at problem-solving. You'll have the opportunity to make a big impact on high profile projects, with significant responsibility and visibility.

Communication is key Be flexible in adapting when our roadmaps change to address here and now. Listen and learn adapting to the transformation journey.

Demonstrate the teamwork by creating reports, presentations and prototypes that can effectively communicate customer requirements and opportunities at all levels of the organisation.


Positive mindset is a must because you will be leading a team of pioneers who are accumulating a wealth of knowledge which is shaping the digital experience of a multi-million web platform that comes with its challenges of some interdependencies.


The must haves:

  • Experience working as a Product Owner in a cross functional team
  • A proven track record of creating ideas in a similar organisation
  • Able to understand user feedback and analytics to make informed decisions
  • A good understanding of product lifecycles and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to the right audiences.
  • The ability to translate high level product ideas into achievable product backlog features.
  • Can read analytical data and have a methodical approach to problem solving for our sales experiences; with experience in using Google Analytics.

Other stuff we're looking for:

  • Confidence working with key stakeholders to help define the overall content value creation roadmap
  • Being proficient and effective in working with Jira and Confluence.
  • Able to make strong merchandising recommendations driven by data and knowledge
  • Able to develop and provide detailed product feature specifications, ensuring they're clearly understood by the development squads
