Job Description
Defence & Security is the fastest growing sector within Turner & Townsend . We are a relatively new supplier into the sector but are already established as a Key Supplier into MOD as a top 5 (by revenue) professional services supplier. We have one of the most comprehensive routes to market into Defence by being a key partner or prime into 3 of the MOD's largest delivery and transformation partnership arrangements. We are now involved with some of the highest profile consultancy engagements in the sector and our building reputation has created an enviable demand.
Job Description:
We require a leader to lead our major client engagements as well as drive continued growth of our services into the sector. The successful candidate will be a member of the Sector Leadership Team and will influence Turner & Townsend's strategic direction into the sector overall, with a focus on our proposition.
The successful candidate will be identifying and securing opportunities within our existing and targeted client base, leading in the sales and delivery of work in this targeted sector. The role will be a National UK role with the expectation to meet clients nationally.
Key requirements of the role:
• Identify and understand areas of opportunity and development using experience from operating in the sector.
• To be an inspirational leader and strategic thinker that can help shape our clients' agendas relating to their organisation and early in the lifecycle of their programmes.
• Ability to guide and lead internal teams, offering a strong point of focus for the business.
• Ability to grow strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members. The job requires the holder to build trust with clients, industry partners and colleagues, and maintain their "One Business" ethos.
• Provide clear leadership on behalf of clients, translating into trust and confidence in the organisation's ability to deliver.
• To secure business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, and to generate new business to achieve the Vision 2025 goal for the T&T
• To build the best team so that they can be the best in the market. This may include identifying potential acquisitions and key talent.
Qualifications
Key skills & experience:
• Previous experience in consultancy and delivery within Security sector is essential.
• Consulting environment or in-house consulting role where you have developed skills in client handling, relationship management, sales, solution / proposition development and consulting project leadership / delivery.
• Experience in project and programme management
• Effective communication and relationship building skills able to work and thrive in a multi stakeholder environment.
• Strategy and transformational change experience.
• A natural gravitas in dealings with clients, with a 'making the difference' approach.
• Proven experience in preparing, defining and delivering bid proposals desirable.
Due to the secure infrastructure nature of the role you will need to hold a UK passport or ideally hold appropriate UK security clearance to be considered.
