We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.

The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, supporting the seamless operation of our culinary activities.

This position is essential to ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment.

Responsibilities:

Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and cookware, ensuring their cleanliness and readiness for use.

Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, including countertops, sinks, and floors, by following established sanitation protocols.

Trash Disposal: Empty trash bins regularly, dispose of waste properly, and ensure bins are clean and lined with fresh liners.

Inventory Support: Assist with unloading, receiving, and storing kitchen deliveries, helping to keep the inventory organized.
-
Assist Kitchen Staff: Support kitchen staff by assisting with food prep tasks, such as peeling and chopping vegetables or cleaning and portioning ingredients.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are clean and in working order, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
-
Compliance: Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines, promoting a safe and hygienic work environment.
-
Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations, helping with tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced kitchen environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team player with good communication skills and a willingness to assist kitchen staff as needed.

Job Types:
