About the Role:

As the Head of Events Strategy and Propositions, you will have a crucial role in shaping the long-term strategy for IGD events and engagements. Your responsibilities will include defining and developing propositions, program development, speaker acquisition, sponsorship, and go-to-market strategies to propel sustainable commercial growth within the event space at IGD.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Developing a 2-to-3-year strategic vision for the IGD events portfolio based on customer and market research.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Events Operations to implement this vision within an 18-month plan with financial targets.
  • Implementing a process that prioritizes customer input in proposition development.
  • Creating exceptional programs for delegates that offer tangible value to IGD.
  • Executional Excellence
  • Procuring industry speakers aligned with program content delivery.
  • Coordinating an internal speaker pipeline.
  • Supporting speaker development and material coordination.
  • Managing speaker rehearsals.
  • Developing sponsorship packages and communication material.
  • Overseeing go-to-market planning and execution.
  • Project managing touchpoints throughout the event process.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in the events industry creating customer-first programs.
  • Delegate management experience with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exposure to the consumer goods industry and a focus on industry trends for events.
  • Customer-centric mindset and strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to create and close commercial opportunities.
  • Past experience in leading event proposals and influencing stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.

Success Measures:

Various metrics including event P&L management, revenue and sponsorship targets, speaker acquisition, delegate experience, and marketing ROI.
