Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CQI Clinical
Trainer to join our DHU 111 Team.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of
high quality NHS Pathways accredited training and other DHU 111 clinical and
non-clinical training.

The post holder will support governance investigations
as required furthering their contribution to the quality, safety and
development of call taking practice.

They will be required to
work online to a safe and effective standard maintaining own skills and competence.

Job responsibilities
Purpose
of the Role

You
will be responsible for delivering NHS Pathways courses for new and existing
employees within the East Midlands NHS 111 service. The post holder will work
in partnership with the Training and Development Manager, CQI & DoS Leads
& Training team in order to deliver a variety of training sessions required
in DHU 111 (East Midlands) CIC. The CQI Clinical Trainer is responsible for the
delivery of NHS Pathways Accredited Training packages to facilitate and
maintain a skilled workforce in line with the NHS Pathways License. You will also be responsible for the delivery
of other DHU 111 Clinical Training.

The
CQI Clinical Trainer will be expected to ensure they keep up to date with
latest developments and changes to NHS Pathways and with current clinical practice
and guidelines including maintaining proficiency in call taking. They will be required to support governance
investigations as required. The post holder will be contribute towards
continues quality improvement for all NHS 111 front line teams.

training material provided from NHS Pathways and the organisation

Ensure
feedback and evaluations are received and processed after each course to ensure
opportunities for continuous quality improvement are captured.

Update
NHS Pathways and organisational records with course outcomes to ensure
compliance and accurate advisor personal records in a timely manner

Prepare
training documentation for upcoming training and assist in the dissemination of
this information to staff.

Be able
to complete performance development plans with staff that contain SMART
objectives and coach others toward achievement of their objectives when
requested

Be able
to identify areas of practice that may require learning and development focus
and address these through preparation of training interventions such as
classroom based sessions or one to one support

Ensure
minimum annual training delivery hours are met to enable retention of their
Accredited Trainer status.

Support
management of complaints and compliments as requested through audit and
investigatory work

Demonstrate
competence in consistent and proficient audit practices

Maintain
own call taking competence, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of Adastra and NHS
Pathways systems in taking a call from the front end through to completion.

Contribute
proactively to continuous quality improvement through own practice and through
support to others

Work
within and promote the regulatory requirements, codes and guidance as defined
by the appropriate regulatory body i.e. NMC/HCPC.

Undertake
appropriate personal and professional development to meet the requirements of
re-validation /NMC/HCPC Registration.

Maintain
personal responsibility and accountability for own ongoing active professional
registration and fitness to practice

Demonstrate
professionalism and service knowledge when delivering training and in all other
working practices

Work
within and promote the DHU Vision and Values

Seek
feedback on own performance from trainees and line managers

Offer

issues, these must be reported to a Senior Manager, or, in their absence, the
director on call.

Maintain
and ensure maintenance of a tidy work environment at all times

Organise
and prioritise effectively your own work schedule to ensure operational
excellence with minimum supervision
