With a strong presence in the market, our client boasts an impressive annual turnover of £35 million. They specialize in New Build & Refurbishment projects, ranging from £50,000 to £5 million in value. Operating regionally, they are a privately owned company.

About the Role:
As a Contracts Manager, you will need diverse experience in main contracting across various project types. The role demands the ability to work autonomously, demonstrating confidence and decisiveness. Ideal candidates should be self-driven, proactive with a can-do attitude, and possess prior experience as a Contracts Manager/Senior Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of multiple projects, leading teams to ensure safe, timely, and within budget completion
  • Supervise on-site Site Manager, handling daily issues
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and suppliers
  • Compile and update CPHSP in collaboration with H&S Manager
  • Review and approve subcontract RAMS
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and work quality
  • Develop tender programmes to Construction Phase level
  • Review and update programme progress and delays
  • Assess design information, track RFI's, and address design details and potential issues proactively
  • Participate in weekly progress reviews and site progress meetings
  • Prepare Contractor's Reports and attend Site Progress Meetings

Requirements:
  • Previous Main Contractor Experience (Essential)
  • Minimum 5 years in a Senior Project / Contracts Manager role (Essential)
  • Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts (Preferable)
Additional Certifications:
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Full UK driving license
  • Successful Enhanced DBS (Conducted by the Company during onboarding)
