CompEx External Quality Assurer (EQA).
Home based with UK and International travel.

This is an exciting opportunity.


We are looking for an External Quality Assurer (EQA) who will be responsible for delivering external assurance of the CompEx's quality strategy by providing a risk-based evaluation across the network of Approved Training Providers (ATPs).


The EQA will ensure that CompEx maintains the required standards for the quality, impartiality, and objectivity of teaching, learning, and assessment across its ATPs.

This key aspect of the role will support the wider credibility of CompEx amongst all stakeholders, resulting in maintaining the scheme policies and procedures, and external accreditation to ISO17024.


Your main responsibilities will be to conduct and document quality assurance, advisory and system activities within centres in line with accreditation requirements.

In addition, you will be required to provide advice and support to centres to ensure the highest possible standards of teaching, learning and assessment are achieved.

You will be required to contribute to the development of the internal audit programme and contribute to the policy review process.

The following qualifications have been identified as core competence for this role:

  • Level 4 Award in Management or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Award in Teaching and Development.
  • TAQA Level 3 in Assessing.
  • TAQA Level 4 in Internal Quality Assurance.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Lead ISO QMS Auditor (desirable).
  • MSc in Internal Audit Management (desirable).
  • CIA, QIAL in Internal Auditing (desirable).


As you would expect, attention to detail and teamwork skills are vital in this role with strong quality assurance and auditing knowledge and experience to manage and improve performance.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong IT and numerical skills. You will be required to travel throughout the UK and overseas.
