The key purpose of this role is to provide high quality counselling to young people experiencing a wide variety of emotional problems, including self-esteem and anger management.

You will be working closely with a member of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the highest standards of wellbeing for all students supporting the Schools' core purpose of developing safe, secure and healthy students who achieve well and develop into mature and confident adults.

Pioneer Secondary Academy is a smaller than average secondary school with a calm atmosphere and and high ambitions for its students who are:

  • To be educated to at least GCSE level, with passes in English and Maths
  • An excellent command of written and verbal English
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Have highly effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • At least 2 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Have the ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Ability to identify stakeholders' needs quickly and deal with queries
  • Reliability, tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and sensitivity are paramount to this post
  • Work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
  • Be a hard worker
