Shifts are scheduled between 12:00 - 18:00 (subject to change), including weekdays and weekends. Japan Centre is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Japanese Food Consultants.

This role is perfect for those who have a love for Japanese cuisine and culture, and who enjoy interacting with and educating others.

Deliver exceptional in-store customer service while providing insights into our Japanese food products
Conduct food sampling sessions, engaging customers with product knowledge, cooking and preparation tips
Translating and explaining product labelling from Japanese to English, how to use instructions and product USPs
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sampling areas, ensuring all food safety and health standards are met
Assist in stock rotation and replenishment of sampling materials and products
You are required to be on your feet throughout your shift
Japanese language is REQUIRED
Food preparation skills
Passion for Japanese culture and cuisine with an eagerness to learn and share knowledge
Previous experience in customer service, food handling, or promotional events is preferred but not essential
Strong commitment to hygiene, cleanliness, and maintaining food safety standards
Eligibility to work in the UK - YMS/working holiday visa holders are welcome
