About the role:

Activate Learning are now looking for a Sports Massage Teacher to join our established teaching team at our Reading Campus.

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our students have a memorable learning experience.

With your excellent subject knowledge and practice skills you will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate teachers to ensure we plan and deliver engaging and informative lessons on a variety of sports massage techniques, and provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training to students. You will also assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records and reports, as well as contribute to the ongoing development of the sports massage curriculum.

This is a permanent, part time role based at Reading College, working 18.5 hour per week (0.5 FTE)

What do you need to be successful Sports Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE/HE sector.

  • A qualified Sports Massage Therapist with a recognised qualification (Level 3 or above).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in practicing sports massage.
  • A passion for teaching and a clear, engaging delivery style.
  • The ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

In addition to the above, your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
