The job itself:


We are looking for exceptional, caring, and flexible people to join our Lifeline team for East Riding of Yorkshire, to play a key role in a service that helps adults live independently in their own homes.


The service provides a 24-hour, 7 days a week support network for older and vulnerable people within their own homes by responding to emergency situations, falls, Telecare Alarms and welfare checks when customers are discharged from hospital.

Though this isn't a carer role, on occasion you may need to offer some personal care in an emergency.


You will work independently on a shift pattern (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm) from various central bases throughout the East Riding, responding to centralised calls to support vulnerable adults in their home, including general welfare checks and assisted lifting from a fall.

On some occasions you will have set tasks such as fitting and servicing new equipment. This is a fast paced and rewarding job role, with daily interaction with customers and service users. Full training will be provided.

You should be able to demonstrate that you are organised, customer focused and able to work to specific timescales. Having a flexible approach to your working day is essential, coupled with a positive and proactive attitude. You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Travel time from your work base is paid.

Different shifts are available between the hours of 6:00am - 10:00pm 7 days a week, full time 37 hours (2 days off) or part time from hours.

These shifts are on a 4 week rolling rota.

Please note the role involves the moving and handling of customers and use of provided lifting equipment, for which a certain standard of fitness is required.
