Note:
Core Hours are 10am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The Role
We are seeking to recruit two permanent posts within our Tenancy Management Team.

The duties will include the case management and investigation of reported nuisance and anti-social behaviour, alongside the inspection of Council owned property (land/assets/premises) in respect of estate management or other associated housing duties including the provision of garages, reporting and initiating repairs, maintenance, cleansing or other works as necessary.


The Opportunity


Ideally we are looking for applicants with a property management or enforcement background however training will be given.
It is essential that the post holder has a full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Accountabilities

  • To interpret and assess the nature and level of complaints of nuisance and anti social behaviour received by the Tenancy Management Team (in accordance with current ASB policy and procedures).
  • To allocate and set timescales for the investigation and review of complaints (in close consultation with the Housing Manager and Senior Tenancy Management Officer).
  • To instigate and initiate any necessary multi agency investigations (with special attention to issues of violence and threats of violence, child welfare and safeguarding).
  • To instigate a 'Victim Support' approach where appropriate (in consultation with the Housing Manager and Senior Tenancy Officer, to visit and provide a package of support to victims of serious and antisocial behaviour).
  • To provide feedback by way of case studies and reports to Management and Tenant Representatives (in consultation with the Housing Manager, Senior Tenancy Management Officer and Tenant Relations Officers).
  • To regularly review enforcement powers to reflect legislation and best practice (in consultation with the Housing Manager and Senior Tenancy Management Officer).
  • The post holder will be required to work closely with the Housing Manager and Senior Tenancy Management Officer in areas of legislation and good practice in dealing with matters of nuisance/ASB and tenancy enforcement

This will include:

  • Arranging meetings and presentations, where necessary in connection with tenancy management and enforcement matters.
  • Attending necessary and appropriate training courses in relation to Tenancy legislation and ASB/enforcement legislation.
  • Engaging, where appropriate, in consultation and service delivery and any other tasks associated with effective tenancy management and enforcement operation of the Council's role as a social landlord.
  • Dealing with all matters in relation to the Council's Conditions of Tenancy with special regard to antisocial behaviour, nuisance, fraud Environmental and community safety.
  • Interviewing Council tenants and other members of the public and inspecting property in respect of enforcement investigation and other housing related matters.
  • Dealing with all associated paperwork, correspondence and the keeping of records, receiving and dealing with telephone communications.
  • Providing support and assistance to the Sheltered/ Older Persons Team in all matters of tenancy
