Long Term Teachers is collaborating with several outstanding schools in Weston-Super-Mare, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their enthusiastic team. Whether you prefer full-time, part-time, or supply work, you will operate Monday to Friday, term-time only, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Permanent positions are also available for those who excel within the school and prove to be valuable team members.

We are committed to providing top-quality support to various schools across the South West, catering to both mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Classroom management
  • Organizing activities
  • Conducting 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Assisting students of all skill levels, including those with SEN
  • Preparing reports and collaborating with senior leadership on student progress

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with children, particularly young ones
  • Familiarity with special education techniques and tactics
  • Effective communication skills with students, parents, and peers
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational abilities for aiding in lesson planning and classroom control
  • Thorough knowledge of the UK curriculum
